$1 Million Winner in Texas Takes Home Life-Changing Prize

A ticket sold in Cottonwood, California matched all six numbers drawn in Friday’s $1.22 billion Mega Millions drawing to claim the top prize. However, a single winner wasn’t the only one to win big – five tickets across various states, including two in California and one each in Arizona, Missouri, and Texas, took home prizes.

In Texas alone, 472,789 tickets won some sort of prize, with five tickets matching all six numbers for a $30,000 windfall. Notably, a single ticket sold at a 7-Eleven store in Arlington between Dallas and Fort Worth claimed the $1 million top prize.

The next Mega Millions drawing is set for December 31, resetting the jackpot to $20 million with a cash value of $9 million.
