A theft of 100,000 organic eggs worth $40,000 has been reported in Greencastle, Pennsylvania. The eggs were stolen from the back of a trailer at Pete & Gerry’s Organics on Saturday night. Authorities are investigating and have not yet disclosed any leads or information about how the theft occurred.
Pete & Gerry’s Organic, a company that works with over 200 independent farms across the US, has been in business since the early 1980s and transitioned to organic farming in 1997. The company emphasizes its commitment to animal welfare and community involvement, receiving recognition as a “Best For The World” B Corp.
