100th Shrine Bowl Sees Dominant East Team Shut Out West

The 100th East-West Shrine Bowl saw the East team dominate the West in a shutout victory of 25-0 on Thursday night at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The game was marked by several standout performances from 2025 NFL Draft prospects.

Efton Chism III, WR, Eastern Washington, impressed with his quick release and strong hands, showcasing a gamer’s mentality. Jacory Croskey-Merritt, RB, Arizona, showed his hunger for a big performance after missing most of the previous season due to injury, scoring 97 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries.

Tyron Herring, CB, Delaware, demonstrated his skills with an interception and a big hit on Abilene Christian WR Blayne Taylor. Elijah Ponder, Edge, Cal Poly, displayed his speed and spin move throughout the game, recording a sack and setting up a pick-six for South Carolina CB O’Donnell Fortune.

Other notable performances included those from Nohl Williams, CB, California, who showed physicality and instincts during the game. The East team’s dominant performance was on full display in the 100th Shrine Bowl.

Honorable mentions include Tahj Brooks, RB, Texas Tech; Gerad Christian-Lichtenhan, OT, Oregon State; O’Donnell Fortune, CB, South Carolina; and Johnny Walker Jr., Edge, Missouri, among others.
