13,000+ Researchers Join Quantum-Blockchain Testnet

Postquant Labs has launched a publicly available quantum-classical blockchain test network (testnet) to facilitate research and development in secure, trustworthy distributed quantum computing. Over 13,000 researchers have signed up to participate in the testnet, enabling global collaboration and contribution to advancing the intersection of quantum computing, blockchain technology, and distributed quantum computing.

The testnet is built with D-Wave Quantum Inc.’s Advantage2 annealing quantum computers and aims to support the development of a global quantum blockchain standard. Researchers can compete for QUIP token incentives by solving computationally challenging optimization problems using quantum and classical computing resources.

Quip.Network’s testnet mining protocol allows users to participate without moving funds to a new blockchain, thanks to its cross-chain architecture and post-quantum secure design. The network protects user assets against emerging quantum threats and offers quantum-resistant wallets on EVM and Solana networks, with Bitcoin support in development.

The launch marks an exciting step forward for the global research community, as it enables researchers to experiment, collaborate, and contribute to advancing the intersection of quantum computing, blockchain technology, and distributed quantum computing.
