142,000 Millionaires Set to Migrate Globally in 2025

The world’s richest individuals are flocking to safe havens with tax perks, top-tier schools, and investor-friendly policies. According to the Henley Private Wealth Migration Report 2025, a record-breaking 142,000 millionaires are expected to relocate globally this year.

Top destinations for millionaire migration include the UAE, US, Italy, Switzerland, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Portugal, Greece, Canada, and Australia. These countries offer unique combinations of tax incentives, lifestyle perks, and residency-by-investment pathways that appeal to high-net-worth individuals.

The UAE is set to gain a net 9,800 millionaires, followed by the US with 7,500 and Italy with 3,600. The US remains attractive despite economic headwinds and growing political uncertainty, while Italy’s relatively competitive tax rates are drawing in HNWIs from France, UK, and Switzerland.

The report highlights the importance of favorable tax policy, political stability, strong institutions, and quality of life in attracting and retaining global wealth. As the “great wealth migration” accelerates, nations must address complex economic, political, and lifestyle factors to remain competitive.
