150 in France Report Being Pricked with Syringes During Music Festival

A nationwide street music festival in France turned violent when nearly 150 people, including a 22-year-old woman named Manon, reported being pricked with syringes. The incidents, which occurred across the country, appear to have involved multiple perpetrators and may have been linked to date-rape drugs such as Rohypnol or GHB.

Manon was one of those targeted during the festival, which drew millions of people to the streets ahead of the event. She was injected with what she believes was a vaccine-style needle and experienced numbness in her arm within 30 minutes. However, it remains unclear whether date-rape drugs were used in these attacks.

After spending several hours in the emergency room, Manon shared her experience on TikTok to raise awareness about the incident. She emphasized the importance of reporting such incidents to law enforcement, citing a need for increased vigilance and awareness.

French police have detained 14 men in connection with the needle spikings, but no arrests have been made yet. Authorities are also targeting those who had called for such attacks online, with Minister of Justice Gérald Darmanin vowing to prosecute those responsible on social media.

The incident has sparked a conversation about the need for women’s safety and empowerment. Manon, who is waiting three weeks for her toxicology results, remains resolute in her determination not to let the experience define her.
