Reality TV star Whitney Purvis paid tribute to her 16-year-old son Weston after his shocking death earlier this week. The former MTV reality show star took to Instagram, sharing heartfelt messages expressing her love and grief for the teenager.
Purvis described fond memories of her time with Weston, from singing songs together to watching him grow up. She also acknowledged the pain she’s feeling, stating that losing a child is “so hard to write” and that life is “cruel and unfair.”
Weston’s stepmom, Amy Gosa, confirmed that he had been battling diabetes and several health issues before his death. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of Weston’s passing.
Purvis and her ex-boyfriend welcomed Weston in 2009 during the first season of “16 and Pregnant.” The couple has a second son, River, who was born in 2014. In the past year, Purvis lost custody of both sons due to alleged child support payment issues.
