‘1923’ Pays Tribute to Late Rising Star Cole Brings Plenty

Cole Brings Plenty, who played Pete Plenty Clouds in “1923”, has passed away at 27. The rising star was a key part of the Western series’ first season and had an expanded role in Season 2 before his death. Brings Plenty’s family is still seeking answers after he was reported missing last April.

The actor, who is Native American, had gained attention for his activism alongside his uncle Mo Brings Plenty, a consultant on “Yellowstone”. He also appeared in other TV shows like “The Tall Tales of Jim Bridger” and “Into The Wild Frontier”.

Aminah Nieves, who played Teonna Rainwater opposite Brings Plenty’s Pete in Season 1, paid tribute to him at the “1923” premiere. She described Brings Plenty as her brother and said she talked with him frequently about his upcoming role.

In a statement after Brings Plenty’s death, Chris McCarthy, president of Paramount Media Networks, expressed condolences to his family. The actor was shown in an in memoriam during the Season 2 premiere episode, and Jeremy Guana now takes over the role of Pete Plenty Clouds.
