Chefs from across Northern California gathered in Sacramento on June 24 to find out if their restaurants made the cut for this year’s Michelin Guide. The annual ceremony honored a total of 44 Bay Area restaurants, with several newcomers receiving prestigious stars.
Notable winners include Kiln and Enclos in San Francisco, who received their first and second Michelin stars respectively. Kiln, led by chef John Wesley, has been gaining attention since its opening in 2023, while Enclos, run by Brian Limoges, impressed inspectors with its culinary prowess. The Michelin Cocktail Award went to Eylan in Menlo Park, which is the new restaurant from chef Srijith Gopinathan and Ayesha Thapar.
Other notable winners include Localis, Cyrus, and Sun Moon Studio in Oakland, who all received stars for their sommelier, service, or bar programs. Sons and Daughters won its first Green Michelin Star, awarded for sustainability, while Enclos took home the same award.
