2025 NCAA Wrestling Championships Team Standings

The 2025 NCAA Wrestling Championships are underway in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. A total of 330 wrestlers will compete for 10 individual national titles and the NCAA team title. To break down the team standings, we’ll track the tournament’s progress.

In the NCAA Tournament, a wrestler can earn team points through three methods: Advancement Points, Bonus Points, and Placement Points. Advancement Points are awarded for winning in championship or consolation rounds. The number of points varies depending on the type of win:

– 1 point for championship wins
– 0.5 points for consolation round wins
– Bonus points are added to advancement points if a wrestler wins by fall, tech fall, or major decision:
– 2 points for fall, forfeit, default, or disqualification
– 1.5 points for tech fall
– 1 point for major decision

Placement Points are also awarded based on the wrestler’s finishing position:
– 1st place: 16 points
– 2nd place: 12 points
– 3rd place: 10 points
– 4th place: 9 points
– 5th place: 7 points
– 6th place: 6 points
– 7th place: 4 points
– 8th place: 3 points
