2025 NFL Draft Predictions Shake Up as Quarterback Trade Looms

The 2025 NFL Draft is shaping up to be a highly competitive and quarterback-rich class, with only two players projected to be selected in the first round. CBS Sports has made significant changes to their mock draft predictions, including several trades that will impact the top five picks.

At the top of the list, Cam Ward from Miami remains the top projected pick, followed closely by Shedeur Sanders from Colorado and Travis Hunter from Colorado. The Patriots are expected to select Hunter at number two, while the Raiders trade up for Sanders at number three.

The positional depth at quarterback is a major concern, making teams that need one position highly coveted. Other top prospects include Abdul Carter from Penn State, Will Johnson from Michigan, Mykel Williams from Georgia, and Nic Scourton from Texas A&M.

The Saints are expected to select Scourton with their tenth pick, while the Bears take Williams at number ten. The 49ers draft Josh Simmons, and the Dolphins secure Malaki Starks. The rest of the top 32 picks include a mix of defensive linemen, wide receivers, and running backs.

As the draft approaches, teams are getting creative to find quarterback solutions, making this year’s class highly unpredictable.
