2025 NFL Playoff Bracket Takes Shape After Divisional Round Games

The NFL playoff bracket is moving closer to its final form after the latest divisional round games. Six teams were eliminated during wild card weekend, including the Los Angeles Chargers, Pittsburgh Steelers, Denver Broncos in the AFC, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Minnesota Vikings, Green Bay Packers in the NFC.

In the AFC, the Kansas City Chiefs are set to face either the Buffalo Bills or Baltimore Ravens for a spot in the conference championship game. The Philadelphia Eagles will take on the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC divisional round.

Sunday, Jan. 19:

– NFC championship game: Washington Commanders at TBD
– AFC championship game: Kansas City Chiefs at TBD

The NFL playoff bracket works by featuring seven teams in each conference, with the No. 1 seed receiving a bye during the first weekend of playoffs. The other division winners take the No. 2 through No. 4 seeds and are ranked by win-loss record with tiebreakers used as needed.
