The 2026 Nissan Frontier has arrived, boasting an array of upgrades that cater to owners who demand both workability and playfulness. The updated model introduces a sleek Dark Armor package, available on SV grades, which adds a touch of sophistication with darkened accents and mirror caps.
Frontier PRO-X and PRO-4X grades now feature the vibrant Citrus Strike color option, setting it apart from its competitors in the midsize truck segment. This new hue complements the fiery Afterburn Orange introduced for 2025.
The new drive mode selector allows drivers to adjust key vehicle characteristics with ease, selecting from five modes: Rock, Sand, On-Road, Mud, and Hill Descent Control. Additionally, PRO grades now come standard with heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and remote engine start.
S and SV grades add LED lamps for enhanced visibility and a more modern front-end appearance. The All-Weather package is also available on SV grades, which bundles heated leather steering wheel, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and remote engine start.
For those who crave off-road thrills, the Roush Performance x Ohlins 2.0 Off-Road Suspension System can be installed separately by Roush, lifting the truck’s front end by 2 inches for improved approach and departure angles.
The 2026 Nissan Frontier is powered by a responsive 3.8-liter V6 engine, rated at 310 horsepower and 281 lb-ft of torque. Active Brake Limited Slip is standard on all grades, while PRO-4X upgrades to an electronic locking differential.
Other features include Intelligent Around View Monitor with Off-Road Mode viewing function, trailer sway control, driver assistance technologies such as Lane Departure Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and seamless connectivity through the 8-inch or optional 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
