Toyota’s iconic sports car, the GR86, is getting a fresh boost with the introduction of the new 2026 Yuzu Special Edition. This limited-edition variant boasts a throwback paint color, performance package, and rarity that make it worth a look.
The GR86 Yuzu’s distinctive “Yuzu” paint job pays homage to the car’s rich history, dating back to the 2015 Scion FR-S Series 1.0 release. The bright yellow hue is more than just a cosmetic touch; it also influences the interior design with yellow accents on the steering wheel, handbrake handle, and door padding.
Under the hood, the GR86 remains unchanged mechanically, with its 2.4-liter flat-four engine producing 228 hp and 184-lb-ft of torque. The Performance package, standard on the Yuzu Special Edition, enhances braking capabilities with Brembo front and rear brakes and SACHS-brand shock absorbers.
With only 860 units available in the U.S. market, the GR86 Yuzu is sure to be a rare sight on American roads. Toyota will begin shipping these special edition models by the end of 2025, and final pricing and option details will be revealed closer to the launch.
