3 Teens Among Injured in Philly Park Mass Shooting

A mass shooting occurred in Fairmount Park, a central area of Philadelphia, during Memorial Day celebrations. Emergency responders arrived swiftly after reports that 11 individuals had been shot. Three minors were confirmed to be among those injured.

The incident happened on Monday night at around 10:30 p.m. near Lemon Hill Drive and Poplar Drive. Authorities are investigating whether multiple firearms were used in the shooting. Two deaths have been confirmed, but it’s unclear if either of the deceased was a teenager aged 15, 16, or 17.

Police have not made any arrests or recovered weapons yet. The violence broke out after a gathering of cars, and one person was hit by a vehicle before being rushed to the hospital along with the shooting victims.

Fairmount Park is Philadelphia’s largest municipal park, covering over 2,000 acres. It features several attractions, including the famous Philadelphia Zoo. Authorities are working to provide an update on Tuesday regarding the incident.
