San Francisco 49ers cornerback Deommodore Lenoir was arrested in Los Angeles on Thursday, charged with resisting arrest. The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed the incident, stating that police were called to a scene where they found double-parked vehicles blocking traffic.
According to TMZ, officers approached two men – Lenoir and teammate Marcus Cunningham – before discovering a gun in Cunningham’s car. When police asked Lenoir to hand over his car keys, he allegedly refused, leading to his arrest at around 5:30 p.m. The cornerback is scheduled to appear in court in July.
Lenoir, 25, has played four seasons with the 49ers after being drafted in 2021. He recently signed a five-year, $92 million extension with the team.
