OpenAI’s head of product, Nick Turley, has shared five handy tips for users to get more out of the popular chatbot ChatGPT. The company recently rolled out its latest AI model, GPT-4o, and Turley wants users to experiment with its features.
One tip is to use ChatGPT’s voice mode, which allows users to speak with the chatbot in nine human-like voices. This feature can be useful for creating recipes or writing work emails. However, users should be cautious not to rely on the AI as a therapist.
Turley also recommends asking ChatGPT to remember certain things, such as job information or preferences, which the AI will use to improve its responses. Users can turn off the chatbot’s memory at any time or ask it to forget things.
Another tip is to create a customized GPT (Generative Pre-trained Transformer) without coding, using the “GPT Builder.” This feature allows users to tailor their GPT to specific tasks and configure additional settings like data analysis or image generation.
Additionally, Turley suggests that users can upload files into ChatGPT, which will analyze the text, provide feedback, and extract information. This feature is particularly useful for reading long papers or processing handbooks.
Lastly, Turley recommends incorporating images with ChatGPT’s capabilities, such as using the company’s image generator DALL-E to create custom images from conversations.
