A salmonella outbreak has sickened at least 68 people in 19 U.S. states, with 18 sent to the hospital. The FDA is urging consumers not to eat recalled cucumbers and salads that may contain contaminated produce. Three companies have recalled cucumbers grown in Mexico, sold by importers between October 12 and November 26. Consumers should check their refrigerators for recalled products from SunFed Produce, Baloian Farms, and Russ Davis Wholesale. Symptoms of salmonella infection include diarrhea, fever, and stomach cramps, which can range from mild to severe.
