7 Habits for Effective Windows 11 Users

Microsoft has released seven tips for making the most out of Windows 11, but none of them are particularly groundbreaking. The first tip is to personalize the Start Menu, which was one of the most criticized aspects of the operating system.

Tip two suggests using Snap layouts for multitasking, but alternatives like FancyZones in PowerToys might be a better option. Tip three recommends creating a desktop for every project, a feature that feels like Microsoft playing catch-up with other operating systems.

The fourth tip is to stay up-to-date with widgets, which are helpful for news, weather updates, and calendar reminders. However, they were disabled after installing Windows 11 and might not be essential. Other features include Focus sessions, logging in with Windows Hello, and Dark Mode.

Despite Microsoft’s efforts, Windows 11 still trails behind Windows 10 in market share. However, it is gaining ground, and the end of free support for most versions of Windows 10 in a few months may encourage users to switch. The new tips might not be enough to persuade holdouts that Windows 11 is worth trying.
