The latest Mega Millions drawing has pushed the jackpot to a record-breaking $825 million. The numbers drawn were 56, 66, 67, 68 and 69, with the Mega Ball being 18 and the Megaplier being 4X.
No one claimed the massive prize of over $700 million in December’s drawing, and this latest effort has done little to change that fate. However, two winners from California, Louisiana, and Oklahoma did take home a Match 5 prize of $1 million each.
A lucky winner from North Carolina also secured a Match 5 + Megaplier prize worth $4 million. Despite the high odds against it, players continue to hold out hope for a life-changing win.
To play Mega Millions, visit your local convenience store or gas station and choose six numbers between 1 and 70, along with the gold Mega Ball, which is one number between 1 and 25. Players can also opt for an easy pick or random generation of numbers. Adding the Megaplier option can increase non-grand prize winnings by two to five times.
Tickets can be purchased in person at participating locations or through Jackpocket, a digital lottery courier available in select states. The Jackpocket app allows users to choose their game and numbers, place orders, and collect winnings using their phone or home computer.
