SpaceX successfully launched a payload into orbit at 5:19 AM on Tuesday for the National Reconnaissance Office. The rocket’s first-stage booster was aimed to land on a droneship in the Pacific Ocean following stage separation.
Despite strong winds, the launch went smoothly and meteorologist Vivian Rennie expects gusty conditions to stick around today but will bring warmer air by later this week.
Meanwhile, California is introducing a new program offering vouchers of up to $2,000 for eligible residents to buy e-bikes and accessories. The program starts tomorrow, December 18th, with applications being first-come, first-served. Local retailers are excited to help more people adopt eco-friendly commuting.
