South Korea’s spy agency has reported that around 100 North Korean soldiers have been killed and over 1,000 wounded while fighting against Ukrainian troops in Russia’s Kursk region. According to estimates, a total of 11,000 North Korean troops are now involved in the war on Russia’s side. These troops were deployed after a surprise incursion by Kyiv’s forces into parts of the southern Kursk region during the summer. The findings were revealed by Lee Seong-kweun, a South Korean lawmaker who received classified information from the National Intelligence Service during a closed-door briefing.
