SpaceX plans to launch 30 satellites into orbit early Saturday morning, December 21, aboard a Falcon 9 rocket from California’s Vandenberg Space Force Base. The launch is part of the company’s Bandwagon-2 rideshare mission.
According to SpaceX, the satellite payloads will include contributions from South Korea’s Agency for Defense Development and companies such as Arrow Science and Technology, Exolaunch, HawkEye 360, Maverick Space Systems, Sidus Space, Tomorrow Companies Inc., True Anomaly, and Think Orbital.
This is not SpaceX’s first Bandwagon mission; the company launched Bandwagon-1 in April with 11 satellites on board.
The Falcon 9 rocket will be reused for this launch, marking its 21st flight and nearly reaching SpaceX’s record for most successful rocket reuses.
