Tesla Recalls 694,304 US Vehicles Over TPMS Issue

Tesla is recalling nearly 700,000 vehicles in the United States due to an issue with its tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS). The problem may cause the warning light to fade between drive cycles, failing to alert drivers of low tire pressure. This could lead to crashes and injuries.

The affected vehicles include some Model 3, Model Y, and Cybertruck units. To fix the issue, Tesla will provide an over-the-air software update.

This recall is part of a larger trend for Tesla, with the company’s vehicles accounting for 21% of all US recalls in the first three quarters of the year. Most issues can be resolved through software updates, which has been the case for this recall as well.

In recent months, Tesla has issued several other recalls due to various problems, including a faulty part that could lead to power loss and increased crash risk. The company’s Cybertruck units have been affected by these recalls, with over 2,400 units recalled in November alone.
