Allu Arjun Protested Over Stampede Death: Police Deny Abuses

A massive protest took place outside Telugu actor Allu Arjun’s house over a stampede earlier this month that killed a woman and injured her eight-year-old son. The protesters, claiming to be Osmania University students, threw tomatoes and broke flower pots before being removed by police.

The stampede occurred at Hyderabad’s Sandhya Theatre during the premiere of Pushpa 2 on December 4. The incident has left the child in a coma at a city hospital.

Hyderabad police chief CV Anand presented a video showing the events leading to the stampede and its aftermath. However, a senior officer claimed that Allu Arjun did not leave the scene after being informed about the death of the woman. He watched the movie before being escorted out by police.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy stated in the assembly that Allu Arjun attended the premiere despite refusing police permission. The actor even waved from his car, triggering a stampede-like situation. Despite the woman’s death, he remained at the cinema hall, prompting the police to force him out. A video showing the police escorting out Allu Arjun has surfaced, supporting the Chief Minister’s remarks.
