Magic Overcome 25-Point Deficit to Beat Heat 121–114

The Orlando Magic pulled off an incredible comeback against the Miami Heat, trailing by as much as 25 points before outscoring them 37–8 in the fourth quarter. Cole Anthony led the charge with a season-high 35 points, including 27 in the second half. He also added eight rebounds and nine assists. The Magic improved to 18–12 and took sole possession of third place in the Southeast Division.

The Heat had taken an early lead, but it faltered down the stretch. They shot just 2-for-18 from the floor in the fourth quarter, including 0-for-8 on three-pointers. Despite this, Miami still held a 10-point lead with just over two minutes remaining. However, Orlando went on a 12–0 run to begin the quarter and eventually took the lead on a Kentavious Caldwell-Pope jumper.

The Heat’s 25-point deficit entering the fourth quarter is a statistic that has proven nearly unbeatable in recent years. According to the Associated Press, teams with a 22-point lead or more at halftime have gone 796-0 since December 2019. The Magic’s comeback is a testament to their resilience and determination.

Bam Adebayo and Terry Rozier led the Heat with 23 points each, while Tyler Herro followed with 22 points. Dru Smith scored 14 in his starting lineup debut, but Nikola Jović was held back by four points after moving into the starting role. The Heat will look to bounce back from this loss when they face the Brooklyn Nets on Monday.

Orlando will have a chance to build momentum again on Thursday when it faces the Miami Heat once more.
