Marvel Studios’ final project of 2024, What If…? Season 3, is set to premiere on Disney+ with an episode list that promises exciting adventures across the Multiverse. The eight-episode season will keep up themes seen in the first two seasons as alternate-reality versions of classic MCU characters take center stage.
Led by Jeffrey Wright’s Watcher, familiar characters from Seasons 1 and 2 will join new Phase 4 and 5 heroes in thrilling battles. The season’s debut episode will feature a no-holds-barred brawl between the Avengers and Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner, while the second installment will see Dominic Cooper’s Howard Stark team up with Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha Harkness.
Other episodes will include a showdown between David Harbour’s Red Guardian and Sebastian Stan’s Winter Soldier, a romantic getaway for Kat Dennings’ Darcy Lewis and Tom Hiddleston’s Loki, and a decimated Earth where Mysterio leads an authoritarian regime. The season’s final episode will mark a historic MCU crossover between the Avengers and X-Men.
What If…? Season 3 will begin streaming on Disney+ on Sunday, December 22, marking a new milestone for the platform’s premieres.
