Saints QBs Take Unconventional Approach to Lambeau’s Cold

The New Orleans Saints are set to face the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field on Monday night, with temperatures expected to reach a chilly 32 degrees. To prepare for the cold, quarterback Spencer Rattler and his teammates took an unusual approach. They ran through plays in the team’s cafeteria freezer, which reached a temperature of around 10 degrees.

The idea was inspired by the movie Cool Runnings, where a character prepares for icy conditions by sitting in an ice cream truck. Quarterbacks coach Andrew Janocko, who came up with the plan, said it was about preparing for unexpected challenges and changing things up after a long season. The team’s camaraderie and sense of humor were evident as they laughed at the unusual exercise.

While the temperature in the freezer may not be quite as cold as Lambeau Field’s expected lows, Rattler believes it will help him feel more prepared for the game. “If I’m even slightly more ready to roll than I would have been,” Janocko said, “it’s worth it.”
