Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor had a resounding performance in the team’s 38-30 win over the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. Taylor rushed for 218 yards, including two touchdowns, and sent a clear message by holding onto the ball all the way to the end zone after reaching the goal line.
Taylor’s dominant run, which went through a tunnel leading to the locker room, was a response to his costly mistake last week. He committed to not making a similar error this time around. The Titans, who allowed 335 yards on the ground, struggled to contain the Colts’ offense.
“We were imposing our will and establishing that line of scrimmage,” Taylor said in post-game comments. “Those are the types of games as a running back… you love.”
The Colts’ victory kept their playoff hopes alive and marked a franchise-record for rushing yards. Quarterback Anthony Richardson contributed to the success with 70 yards on the ground, while tight end Mo Alie-Cox added that the Titans struggled to stop the Colts’ run.
With two wins remaining in the season, the Colts aim to secure postseason spots alongside other favorable outcomes.
