Biglaw Firm DLA Piper Doles Out Generous Bonuses

DLA Piper, the third-ranked Am Law 100 firm, is offering significant bonuses to its associates this holiday season. The bonus structure includes:

* Market bonuses for eligible associates based on seniority, performance rating, productivity (2000-hour billable goal), compliance with policies, and good standing status.
* Enhanced performance bonuses above prevailing market rate for associates who exceed their hourly expectations in terms of “exceptional” client service.
* Year-end and special bonuses paid to those meeting hourly goals by December 16 on December 27, while enhanced bonus payouts will be made on February 7, 2025.

Associates must meet specific criteria to receive these bonuses. The firm’s memo outlines the details:

– Performance rating of four or five: Bonus increase commensurate with performance rating.
– Exceeding 2000-hour expectation: Bonus increases per 100 billable hour threshold up to 2700 hours.
