Battlestate Games has announced that its popular game Escape from Tarkov will host a massive Winter Twitch Drops campaign starting on December 30. The campaign is part of the game’s tradition of wiping and resetting the game, accompanied by a supersized update (0.16) with new weapons, balances, and changes to Customs map.
The Winter Drops campaign will run until January 4, and then another drops campaign will follow from January 4 to January 8. The developer is urging streamers and content creators to enroll in the campaign, as top streamers are expected to participate. Viewers who watch these streams can expect to receive rewards, although details on what those rewards will be have not been confirmed.
In previous years, viewers had to accumulate dozens of hours of watch time to unlock random gifts, ranging from ammunition to packs of noodles. The upcoming campaign promises to bring in the festive season and offers a unique opportunity for players to receive exclusive in-game items.
