Amazon Driver Abandons 80 Packages in Woods Before Christmas

A stressed Amazon delivery driver left approximately 80 undelivered packages in a Massachusetts woodland just days before Christmas, police said. On Saturday morning, a sergeant on routine patrol discovered the abandoned packages and retrieved them from a wooded area near an Amazon fulfillment center.

The driver, who remains unnamed, reportedly abandoned the packages because they were “stressed.” However, local authorities are not seeking criminal charges, considering this incident a human resources matter for Amazon. The packages were returned to the nearby fulfillment center without any reported stolen or missing items.

This incident comes amid a larger strike by Amazon employees across the US, with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters union demanding better wages, benefits, and working conditions.
