Vikings Get Key Addition Back from Injury

The Minnesota Vikings have given themselves a crucial gift ahead of their NFC North matchup against Green Bay on Sunday. Linebacker Ivan Pace Jr., who has been out with a hamstring injury, will resume practicing this week and is expected to return to the team.

Pace’s absence has allowed the Packers to run effectively in recent weeks, which could be addressed with his return to the lineup. The Vikings’ run defense, once considered the best in the league, has struggled while he was out.

To bolster their secondary depth, the Vikings have signed former San Francisco 49ers cornerback Ambry Thomas to the practice squad. Thomas, a third-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, had previously appeared in 42 games with 11 starts and two interceptions for the Niners before being waived in December. The Vikings will continue to monitor the team’s preparations ahead of Sunday’s game.
