Timothée Chalamet stars as Bob Dylan in the new biopic “A Complete Unknown”, which explores the folk singer’s early life. Directed by James Mangold, the film examines Dylan’s rise to fame in New York City and his iconic performance at the 1965 Newport Folk Festival.
Chalamet worked closely with a vocal coach, guitar instructor, dialect coach, movement coach, and harmonica teacher to prepare for his role. He even wrote out Dylan’s lyrics on sheets of paper and taped them to his walls. The film has received glowing reviews, boasting a 79% critics score and a 96% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.
“A Complete Unknown” will be released exclusively in theaters on December 25, 2024. Fans can expect it to arrive on Hulu within two to three months, likely in February or March 2025. The film will also be available for purchase or rental on digital platforms like Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV+ around 45-65 days after its theatrical release, potentially as early as February 8, 2025.
