Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson broke Michael Vick’s record for most rushing yards by a quarterback in NFL history, leading his team to a 31-2 victory over the Houston Texans on Wednesday. Jackson had 87 yards rushing, surpassing Vick’s mark of 6,109 yards.
In a stellar performance, Jackson threw two touchdown passes and showcased his impressive running skills with a 48-yard scoring run. Coach John Harbaugh praised Jackson’s season, citing his career-high 39 touchdown passes and franchise-record four touchdown runs.
When asked about passing Vick, Jackson said, “Michael Vick, one of my favorite players… That’s just dope.” Harbaugh echoed similar sentiments, saying, “I see a lot of great plays from Lamar Jackson. I’m proud of him for all the things that go into making those great plays.”
The Ravens’ victory marked a dominant display from Jackson and his team, with Johnson taking over for more than three quarters as the game was long decided.
