Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) is one of top analysts’ picks for 2025 due to its momentum in CPU and GPU share gains. The company’s EPYC processors are expected to increase revenue share in server and Data Center CPUs, driven by a significant business proposition.
Additionally, AMD’s MI350 GPUs in 2025 and MI400 in 2026 will drive additional revenues and increased market share on hyperscale adoption and AI moving to the edge. The analyst believes this is a secular opportunity with legs for double-digit market share gains in GPU compute and AI inference at the edge.
Meanwhile, Micron Technology (MU) is also receiving praise from analysts, including Steve Frankel, who maintains a Buy rating and a price target of $250. The reason behind this pick is the big opportunity for DRAM content deployment in AI platforms going forward, particularly with the analyst’s liking of Micron’s HBM dominance.
HBM supply continues to be an issue to watch, but Frankel believes Micron’s structural advantage in power efficiency will become increasingly important as the segment moves towards higher configurations. The price target reflects a mid-teens P/E multiple on the analyst’s adjusted EPS.
