Apple has introduced a new AI-powered software feature called Apple Intelligence, which aims to enhance your iPhone experience. The latest version of iOS 18 includes this feature, allowing users to get more from their iPhone.
To access Apple Intelligence on an iPhone 15 Pro or newer, as well as the newly launched iPhone 16 models, users need to upgrade to the latest software and enable the feature in settings. Upon enabling Apple Intelligence, users can choose notification summaries, which provide a concise overview of multiple notifications from the same apps.
The AI image creation capabilities are available separately through the Image Playground app, which requires installation. Genmoji allows users to create emojis using text prompts, while the Image Wand lets them turn rough sketches into AI images through the Notes app.
Users can also integrate ChatGPT with Siri by connecting their account in settings. This enables more advanced and complex responses from Siri. Apple Intelligence & Siri menu provides access to all settings for managing AI on the iPhone.
The feature can be divided into three sections: Writing Tools, which offers text rewriting, proofreading, and summarization; Image Creation, which includes Genmoji, the Image Playground app, and the Image Wand; and ChatGPT in Siri. Users can also utilize Visual Intelligence, a feature exclusive to iPhone 16 users.
More advanced features are expected in future iOS updates, including personalized Siri responses and new picture styles for Image Playground.
