SpaceX Preps for Possible Final Launch of Year at Vandenberg

SpaceX is set to launch 22 Starlink satellites into low-earth orbit from Vandenberg Space Force Base on Saturday. The Falcon 9 rocket’s liftoff is targeted for 5:48 p.m., with backup opportunities available until Sunday at 9:31 p.m. If successful, the first-stage booster will land in the Pacific Ocean on the Of Course I Still Love You droneship.

This mission would be SpaceX’s 46th launch from Vandenberg this year alone, and marks one of several notable activities for the base, including Firefly Alpha, Minotaur IV, and three Minuteman III test launches. A live webcast will air about five minutes before liftoff, allowing viewers to witness the launch in real-time.
