Former Dolphins LB Shaq Barrett is set to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an active roster player, pending a physical examination. The decision comes after the Dolphins waived him from their reserved/retired list earlier in the week, making him a free agent and eligible for the 2023 season.
Barrett previously spent five seasons with the Buccaneers (2018-2022), accumulating 249 tackles, 45 sacks, and multiple accolades, including three Pro Bowl selections and a Super Bowl championship. He signed with the Dolphins as a free agent this offseason but retired before appearing in any games with the team.
