A San Francisco tech entrepreneur, Suchir, has died under mysterious circumstances. His mother, Poornima, revealed that her son was a prodigious talent who began speaking complex sentences at two and built his first computer by 13.
Suchir joined Quora as a programmer in his teens and later attended UC Berkeley, where he won a $100,000 challenge. He contributed to the development of ChatGPT at OpenAI but became critical of the company’s actions after its CEO Sam Altman shifted direction.
In a statement, Poornima expressed her fears about Suchir’s outspoken stance, cautioning him during their last conversation to protect himself. Hours before his death, Suchir celebrated his birthday and appeared cheerful, leaving his family questioning what could have gone wrong so quickly.
The family has requested a private autopsy, demanding clarity about the events surrounding Suchir’s passing. Poornima remains steadfast in her quest for answers, stating that it doesn’t look like a normal situation.
