Giants Stun Colts with 45-33 Win, Put No. 1 Pick in Jeopardy

The New York Giants secured their first win at MetLife Stadium this season with a 45-33 victory over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. The win eliminated Indy from playoff contention and dealt a significant blow to their chances of securing the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Quarterback Drew Lock delivered a career day, throwing for 309 yards and five total touchdowns – four passing and one rushing. Rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers also had a standout performance, catching seven passes for 171 yards and two touchdowns, including a crucial 59-yard score that sealed the win.

The Colts’ loss marks their fourth consecutive season without a playoff appearance. The team’s struggles were evident throughout the game, as they fell behind by 21-6 in the second quarter and were unable to overcome Lock’s hot start.

Colts quarterback Joe Flacco struggled, completing just 26-of-38 passes for 330 yards and two touchdowns. Despite efforts from running back Jonathan Taylor, who finished with 32 carries for 125 yards and two touchdowns, Indy ultimately fell short.

The Giants’ win not only brought them a rare highlight but also put their chances of securing the No. 1 pick in jeopardy. With three wins, they are no longer in control of the first pick, and their strength of schedule will now determine their position fate.
