Samsung to Unveil Galaxy S25 Ultra with Enhanced Features in Q1 2025

Samsung is set to unveil its latest flagship phone, the Galaxy S25 Ultra, at an upcoming event expected to take place on January 22nd, 2025. The new device will build upon the success of last year’s Galaxy S24 Ultra, introducing several key features that are poised to make it a standout in the market.

Design-wise, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to retain the same sharp edge as its predecessor, with an upgraded Corning Gorilla Glass Armour providing enhanced protection. This new display technology should provide better pixel visibility and anti-reflective coating for improved screen quality in various lighting conditions.

The camera system will also carry over from last year’s model, but with a significant upgrade: the ultrawide camera now boasts a 50-megapixel sensor, rivaling top-tier flagships like the Pixel 9 Pro. This increase should enable more detailed photography and 8K recording capabilities.

Samsung has also reaffirmed its focus on artificial intelligence (AI) technology, which will be further integrated into the new Galaxy S25 Ultra. The device is expected to offer improved performance on-device, thanks to a year of AI development work.

Safety features are also being enhanced, with car crash detection software allegedly available in the upcoming OneUI beta software. Samsung has been working on satellite connectivity for its Galaxy handsets and plans to integrate this feature deeper into Android’s codebase.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to be officially unveiled at the January 2025 Galaxy Unpacked event, with pre-orders opening shortly after and shipments scheduled for February 7th.
