Jared Goff Leads Detroit Lions to Thrilling Win Over San Francisco 49ers

Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff delivered another outstanding performance, throwing at least three touchdowns for the fourth consecutive game in their 40-34 win over the San Francisco 49ers on Monday Night Football. Goff completed 26-of-34 passes for 303 yards with no interceptions and a passer rating of 132.4.

Coach Dan Campbell praised Goff’s display, saying he “took another step up” despite being under pressure. The victory marked Goff’s eighth game this season with a completion percentage of at least 75 percent, tying Tom Brady for the most such games in a season.

The win sets up an enticing matchup against the Minnesota Vikings next week, as both teams are tied for first place in the NFC North and will battle for the division title. Campbell described it as a “fairytale” scenario, with the winner earning the top seed in the NFC playoffs.

Additionally, rookie Jameson Williams continued his impressive form, logging five receptions for 77 yards and a touchdown. He now holds franchise history records for most touchdown receptions of 40-or-more yards in a single season.

On a separate note, tight end Sam LaPorta achieved a rare milestone, becoming the first tight end in NFL history to produce at least 600 receiving yards and six receiving touchdowns in each of their first two career seasons.
