Samsung’s Good Lock is set to revolutionize the way users customize One UI without needing root access or complex mods. Initially limited to certain regions and only available through the Galaxy Store, Good Lock will now be accessible on the Google Play Store in all countries starting 2025. This expansion marks a significant shift in Samsung’s approach to giving users more control over their Android skin.
Good Lock has been around for several years, allowing users to modify various aspects of One UI, from the first-party Samsung launcher to customizing the Galaxy Z Flip’s cover display. The feature can address some shortcomings of Samsung’s Android skin and solve real problems.
In One UI 7, Good Lock will be available in all countries through both the Google Play Store and the Galaxy Store. This change is a response to customer requests, aiming to provide more convenient accessibility to Galaxy users worldwide.
Beyond this expansion, Samsung is also redesigning the Good Lock app to improve UI convenience. The new design features a filter for specific Good Lock apps and a “My Page” tab that allows users better manage their Good Lock apps. Several Good Lock apps currently unavailable with One UI 7 will be updated soon.
With One UI 7 now in beta on the Galaxy S24 series, it’s set to launch on the Galaxy S25 series later this year. This update promises to bring significant improvements and changes to Samsung’s Android skin.
