The village of Bradley has approved a contract to build the largest indoor water park in Illinois, potentially the Midwest. The $2.975 million agreement with Ramaker and $375,000 consulting services contract with American Resort Management (ASM) will cover design, construction, and pre-opening consultation for the 2-acre water park.
The project, valued at $79.5 million, aims to transform the Northfield Square mall property by demolishing a significant portion of the mall and constructing a large indoor water park. The park’s vision is inspired by Epic Waters Indoor Water Park in Grand Prairie, Texas, and would feature a retractable roof and be among the top 20 largest water parks in the US.
Construction could begin as early as spring 2026, with completion or near-completion expected by late 2027. The project’s financing will come through government bond sales, tax increment financing revenues, hotel taxes, and business district taxes.
Village officials believe the development will make Bradley a destination for those seeking an escape from ordinary life, transforming the area into a world-class destination.
