Gypsy Rose Blanchard, the star of the Lifetime docuseries “Gypsy Rose: Life After Lockup,” has become a mother. The 31-year-old welcomed her first child, Aurora Urker, on December 28, 2024, in Louisiana.
Blanchard gave birth to a baby girl after serving 85% of her original 10-year prison sentence for persuading her online boyfriend Nicholas Godejohn to kill her mother. She was released from prison on parole just one year later.
Blanchard and her boyfriend Ken Urker are believed to have become parents after meeting in prison. The couple got back together last year, divorcing their previous spouses along the way.
Urker recently shared the news of Blanchard’s pregnancy with an Instagram post featuring a photo of the two in a hospital setting with their newborn daughter. They chose the name Aurora, inspired by the aurora borealis.
In various interviews, Blanchard expressed her excitement about becoming a mother and being able to provide for her child. She hopes to one day see the northern lights with Urker after she’s off parole.
