Gypsy Rose Blanchard Welcomes Baby Girl After Prison Release

Gypsy Rose Blanchard, star of the Lifetime series “Life After Lockup,” has welcomed a healthy baby girl named Aurora Raina Urker. The 33-year-old and her boyfriend Ken Urker announced their daughter’s arrival on January 1 with an Instagram post showing Blanchard holding her newborn in the hospital.

Blanchard, who was released from prison one year ago after serving eight years for her role in her mother Dee Dee’s murder, has spoken publicly about her excitement to become a mother. “Giving my daughter a happiness I never knew growing up” is what she looks forward to most about motherhood, according to PEOPLE.

The couple met again after Blanchard’s divorce from estranged husband Ryan Anderson was finalized on December 9. Urker took a prenatal paternity test and confirmed his paternity of the baby on November 5. Blanchard recently released her memoir “My Time to Stand,” which details her experiences with Munchausen by proxy.

Blanchard and Urker plan to see the Northern Lights together, a fascination they share. They also announced plans to get married but are prioritizing their role as parents at this moment. The couple’s commitment to each other is rooted in their desire to provide a stable home for their child, having come from divorced parents themselves.
