Ohio State won the Rose Bowl against Oregon with a score of 41-21, advancing to the College Football Playoff (CFP) semifinals. The Buckeyes dominated the game from start to finish, overwhelming the Ducks in a lopsided victory.
Dillon Gabriel tied Case Keenum for the most touchdown passes in FBS history with his last TD pass, but it was too little, too late for Oregon. The Ducks were unable to contain Ohio State’s offense, which racked up 41 points and 327 yards passing.
The Buckeyes received a major boost from TreVeyon Henderson, who ran for an 8-yard touchdown in the third quarter, putting his team up by 26 points. Oregon was unable to mount a comeback, despite having several scoring opportunities.
The loss marks Oregon’s first Rose Bowl defeat since 2012. The Ducks will need to regroup and refocus for their next game. Ohio State, on the other hand, has secured its spot in the CFP semifinals, where it will face Texas on January 10th.
