Squid Game Season 2 Sets Record with 68 Million Views

Squid Game Season 2 has achieved massive success, breaking records set by other popular Netflix series. The season debuted with 68 million views in its first four days of availability, surpassing the premiere week record of Wednesday with 50.1 million views. Squid Game Season 2 is now ranked as the most-watched non-English language TV title of all time on Netflix, just behind Season 1, which holds the current top spot with 265.2 million views.

Squid Game Season 2 took over as Netflix’s most-watched title for the week of Dec. 23-29, while Season 1 also saw a surge in interest, ranking third among non-English language TV series with 8.1 million views. The Taron Egerton-led movie Carry-On was the second-most-watched title overall, followed by Tyler Perry’s The Six Triple Eight.

The English-language TV chart was dominated by Netflix’s Christmas Day NFL games, which drew huge audiences. However, the first scripted series on the chart, Virgin River Season 6, took third place with 9.2 million views in its first full week of availability. Other popular titles included comedy special Your Friend, Nate Bargatze and movie Black Doves.
