The operation, which took place on September 8, was described by Netanyahu as one of the most important preventive measures against Iranian efforts to arm itself for potential attacks. The IDF revealed new details about the operation, including multiple air force activities that allowed the IAF to penetrate Syrian airspace and transport a Shaldag unit 200 kilometers inland.
The operation posed significant challenges due to five large air defense installations in Syria, but Netanyahu hailed it as evidence of Israel’s boldness and determination to defend itself.
